I really appreciate the opportunity to write that. Whenever I start a post here, I type it out. So it's very intentional. It just never gets old. I smile every time because I hope you are having or are creating another amazing day in paradise too.

For the purpose of the election, I am keeping this page short so it's a quick reference space for people. This is the most important post I will write.  And I can't believe I haven't written about my why yet. I know I've recorded a video that mentions it but I didn't write about it. One Wake Candidates' Forum #WriteMyNameMommaKai

Welcome and welcome back. It's another amazing day in paradise. Thank you so much for being here. The night I registered as a write-in candidate for mayor I went to my first candidates' forum. And I want to talk about what happened. It was hosted by an organization called One Wake and they had a goal to get 1000 people there. I was so excited because One Wake is an organization of churches and I was sure I was going to find my people even though I don't even go to church.  The reason why is I have a business idea that connects churches under one organization to focus on the most pressing issues of our time. It is based on a book called "Step One: The Gospel and the Ghetto". Even though I didn't let them know I was coming, I anticipated being on that stage to introduce myself. And I did!
